What is NAET?
Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique
NAET is a non-invasive and drugless therapy for those who have been unsuccessfully treated for their allergy symptoms with conventional methods such as allergy shots and medications. NAET has been used successfully to treat conditions such as chronic sinusitis, asthma, eczema, chronic cough, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, depression, seasonal and environmental allergies, chronic bloating and fatigue and more.
Technique - how it works
Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) involves the use of chiropractic, acupuncture, kinesiology and nutritional principals. A patient holds either the offending substance or a test tube of distilled water that contains the energy of that substance. Then, using chiropractic and acupuncture treatments, the NAET specialist treats the energy blockages by acupuncture and chiropractic methods. This treatment re-educates the brain so that it will not react defensively when the body experiences future exposure to that substance. The goal of the treatment is to desensitize a patient to the substance or substances to which they are allergic.
Energy Flow
Devi Nambudripad, a chiropractor, registered nurse, licensed acupuncturist and a graduate of Oriental Medicine, developed NAET based on traditional Chinese medicine theory. The theory posits that energy channels, called meridians, run and interconnect throughout the body, maintaining the flow of energy and, therefore, the health of the body. The theory further holds that all substances give off energy, and that sometimes the energy of a substance that has been exposed to the body is not compatible with the energy of the body itself. Consequently, the energy flow becomes interrupted. The brain recognizes this blockage and responds by causing an adverse (or allergic) reaction in the body. In other words, the brain identifies the offending element and encourages the body to avoid that substance by initiating an allergic reaction.
